Titan Torque and HRG Well Solutions sign exclusive supplier agreement with Baker Hughes for completions tool.
HOUSTON, Dec. 1 -- Titan Torque and HRG Well Solutions, leading providers of torquing, pressure testing and decommissioning services, and energy technology company Baker Hughes, have signed an exclusive global supply agreement for the Slot Jet Isolate (SJI™) tool.
The SJI™ tool is a revolutionary, multi-purpose, mechanical slotting system for decommissioning operations that will become part of the Baker Hughes integrated plug and abandonment (P&A) portfolio as the X-treme™ SJI™. The tool operates by slotting through casing with a wheeled blade, eliminating the need for explosive perforating charges. By slotting and jetting the casing simultaneously, then placing isolation material on the casing to create a barrier, the tool helps streamline well operations. The unique “plug-and-play” functionality of the X-treme™ SJI™ tool combined with Baker Hughes technologies, will deliver simpler, safer, P&A operations with fewer trips and minimal risk in the final steps of a well’s lifecycle.

Under the terms of the agreement, Titan Torque and HRG Well Solutions will design, manufacture, and supply the SJI tool components exclusively for Baker Hughes to use in coiled tubing drilling/rigless applications in the field worldwide.
