We specialise in the Make Up and Break Out of oilfield equipment by providing a safety driven and cost effective solution for all torque requirements.
Using our specialist equipment Titan Torque Services Ltd. is able to efficiently and safely Make Up or Break Out virtually any component of the drill string and completion equipment. A significant saving in rig time can be made by pre-making as many of the components as possible onshore. The rig time saving also converts directly to a reduction in risk to staff and equipment.
Use of our Titan Drill Bit Protector enables the drill bit to be made up to the drilling bottom hole assembly and transported to the rig in a safe manner. The Titan Drill Bit Protector encases the bit in a thick shell, protecting it from damage during transportation to and from the rig as well as handling to the rig floor.
The benefits of the Make Up and Break out of drilling equipment and the drill bit onshore are the saving in rig time - typically 3 hours per BHA - and, more importantly, reduces risk to personnel and equipment. This is achieved through a reduction in the use of rig tongs, impact tools, and lessens the need for manual handling during both the trip in and the pull out of hole.
